All transactions are solely between the parties involved. ShootingTalk does not provide legal advice, broker transactions, or determine whether a transfer is lawful. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws.

Firearm Transfer Requirements

Firearm transfers must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Interstate transfers to an unlicensed recipient generally must be completed through an FFL in the recipient's state of residence. Some states and local jurisdictions also require an FFL or additional procedures for in-state transfers. Always verify the current requirements before completing a transaction. Listing Rules

Accurate Descriptions

All listings must accurately describe the item. Include make, model, caliber/gauge, condition, and any known defects. Misleading listings will be removed.

Lawful Transfers Only

Firearm transfers must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Interstate transfers to an unlicensed recipient generally must be completed through an FFL in the recipient's state of residence. Some states and local jurisdictions also require an FFL or additional procedures for in-state transfers. Always verify the current requirements before completing a transaction.

No Price Gouging

Listings that exploit emergencies, shortages, or crises through extreme price inflation may be removed at moderator discretion.

No Straw Purchase Facilitation

Listings or discussions that facilitate straw purchases — buying a firearm on behalf of someone who cannot legally purchase one — are strictly prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.

Seller Responsibility

Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring their listings comply with all applicable laws. ShootingTalk does not verify listings, broker transactions, or determine whether a transfer is lawful.

No Transaction Disputes

ShootingTalk is not a party to any transaction and cannot mediate disputes between buyers and sellers. Use caution and common sense when transacting with strangers.

One Account Per User

Creating multiple accounts to circumvent listing limits or bans is prohibited.

Enforcement

Violations of these rules may result in listing removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. Listings that appear to facilitate illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement.

To report a listing that violates these rules, use the Report button on the listing or submit a report.
